about

This is a children's song. I wrote it off the top of my head one day when my friend was babysitting her grandson, and he needed distracting. The lovely illustrations are by Ann Barefoot

lyrics

THE DINOSAUR SONG words and music © Rosemary Schonfeld

I THOUGHT I SAW A DINOSAUR
I TURNED AGAIN AND THERE WERE MORE
THEY CAME IN THROUGH MY FRONT DOOR
FIFTY SEVEN DINOSAURS

THEY ALL SAT DOWN ON MY FLOOR
DRANK SOME TEA AND WANTED MORE
FIFTY SEVEN DINOSAURS

THEY ASKED ME WHAT THE SPOON WAS FOR
I SAID, "FOR STIRRING TEA, AND MORE."
I GAVE THEM CAKE, THEY ATE IT ALL
THEN THEY LEFT THROUGH MY BACK DOOR
FIFTY SEVEN DINOSAURS
